SERVPRO of Gresham Going to Houston, Texas for Emergency Services
SERVPRO of Gresham helping with Hurricane Harvery.
SERVPRO of Gresham is deploying a crew to head to Houston, Texas on Friday at noon. A second crew will deploy in 2 weeks as this will be a long process. Right now the area is in the rescue and emergency relief phase of this storm. Once able, crews will be sent out to help the community restore their homes and businesses. Several SERVPRO disaster response teams are already onsite and are waiting for additional crews to arrive and help start the process of rebuilding.
The destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey has made our Gresham Company ask ourselves what can we do, and what we would want others to do if the Pacific Northwest was in the same situation. We help local schools, hospitals, and residents in our neighborhood all year round. This is our time to help another part of our country in an emergency situation and work alongside of many of our SERVPRO team members from across the country.
Our technicians are leaving their families to go help others in need at this horrific time. SERVPRO of Gresham’s owners are truly honored that our staff is willing to spend this time away from their families and friends. They show generosity and compassion towards our customers daily but to pack up and head into the storm is really amazing to us. Everyone is so happy and proud of all of them. Our office staff will be staying behind to assist and guide our crews from our Gresham office.
SERVPRO of Gresham would like to thank the Pacific Northwest Vancouver branch of the Red Cross for their assistance in preparing our crews for travel into the Houston, Texas area. We would like to remind everyone to be sure to verify the credibility of local charities and companies offering assistance. All of our SERVPRO staff in the Texas area will be in SERVPRO uniform.
