SERVPRO of Gresham Supports Cystic Fibrosis in Portland
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects the lungs.
- According to the American Lung Association, it is the second most common inherited disorder occurring in children in the United States.
- About 70,000 people worldwide live with CF of which 30,000 are in the United States. About 1,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Because of increased research efforts, those with CF are living well into adulthood.
- Since 2009 hundreds of firefighters from across the country and around the world have come to Portland to compete in the Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge, and have raised over $900,000 in the fight to beat Cystic Fibrosis and make CF stand for "CURE FOUND".
SERVPRO of Gresham is honored to be a part of the Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge each year in support for raising money to help raise funds in the battle against cystic fibrosis.
Happy Holidays everyone! We can’t wait for the next Portland Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge to help continuing raising awareness and money for CF.
