In the Portland Metro area snow is not terribly coming but we do get bellow freezer temperatures from time to time which can cause frozen pipes to occur. Frozen pipes occur when there is sustained bellow freezing temperatures for multiple days the water inside a pipe will freeze and cause a pipe to expand, often times cracking the pipe. Air enters to unit passing through a three-stage HEPA filtration system to remove airborne particles. When a carbon filter is added, it also removed airborne odors and gases.

Dehumidifiers work by extracting water vapor from the air and lower the relative humidity, which in turn increases rate of evaporation.
