When assembling your preparedness kit, it is important to include things like

• Canned food
• Can opened
• First aid kit
• All weather gear
• Jacket
• Hat
• Battery operated radio
• Batteries
• Keys
• Cash
• Important paperwork
• Flashlights
• Sleeping bag

When you are planning and preparing for your emergency kit it is important to include all members of your Oregon City house hold in both the process but also to make sure you will have enough supplies for everyone in the household.

Although here in the Pacific Northwest we do not get hurricanes or tornadoes really, we do get wildfires, wind storms that cause power outages and extreme rain that can cause flooding and of course the possibility of “the big one”. Being prepared can help to eliminate some of the worry and stress around a disaster.
