Power Outage Kit Necessities
9/23/2019 (Permalink)
Large storms like hurricanes and tornadoes do not really affect us much in the Pacific Northwest, but we do often get wind storms that knock out the power. It is important to be prepared in case of a widespread power outage that lasts for a while.
Your power outage kit should include:
- Plenty of bottled water
- Battery-operated radio & clock
- Flashlight for each family member
- Extra batteries
- Three-day supply of non-perishable food
- Non-Electric can opener & eating utensils
- List of emergency phone numbers
- First-aid kit
September is National Preparedness and we have been discussing ways you can prepare and we hope you put them into practice not just in September but all year long. If your property suffers from water damage from a roof leak or a fire from a lightning strike, make sure to call the team with nearly 30 years of experience serving customers, SERVPRO of Gresham & SERVPRO of Oregon City/Sandy , 503-665-7752.
