In the Portland Metro area snow is not terribly coming but we do get bellow freezer temperatures from time to time which can cause frozen pipes to occur. Frozen pipes occur when there is sustained bellow freezing temperatures for multiple days the water inside a pipe will freeze and cause a pipe to expand, often times cracking the pipe. Once the temperature rises and the pipe begins to thaw water will begin to flow from the crack and cause water damage.
